A piezoelectric transformer is equipped with primary and secondary electrodes on a piezoelectric vibrating body, with the primary side polarized in the thickness direction and the secondary side polarized in the length direction. When a voltage corresponding to the natural resonant frequency (Fr) determined by the length dimension is applied to the primary side, it generates strong mechanical vibrations due to the inverse piezoelectric effect, and a high voltage (V0) proportional to those vibrations is output from the secondary side due to the piezoelectric effect. ● Features High efficiency, flame resistance, low profile, no magnetic flux leakage, high reliability, self-limiting output current function, low harmonic noise.
